SMS API providers of monthly numbers & Lines types

First, you need to rent a number from one of the supported providers. In this section, we will go over the different types of numbers and which providers are available in detail.

What types of lines (numbers) are there in general?

Lines are divided into two main types:

• Active 24/7 lines [no delay]

These lines are always active and can receive SMS simultaneously without any delays between them. You can purchase any quantity, as they are not divided by ports as rotating lines.

• Rotating lines [cheaper]

Lines sold by the port, each port contains 8 lines within it. In this port, only one line is active at a time. The API typically supports line activation, allowing you to rotate through your lines. The main difference with this type is that there is a delay between line activations, ranging from a few seconds to up to 20 seconds, depending on the provider. However, this type of number is usually cheaper.

• SMS Modems [most stable & cheap]

Sms machine for bulk SMS sending and receiving with rotating lines. Support only physical sim cards and has own API depends on modem provider. Has built-in API which you can connect with Encore in Settings.

• How purchase lines: embed with info on server

Twilio

• How purchase lines: Signup on site > Purchase lines

• For API need to fill it in the following format: sid;token
